There is no doubt that Pokhara is much more than a city or a valley but also is one of the best displays of astounding natural beauty. Likewise, there can not be a better place to observe and enjoy this beauty than Fish Tail Lodge which is built on a serene peninsula extending from the base of a densely forested hill into Fewa Lake.
Excitement begins the moment you arrive in the parking lot of the lodge as you will find no pathway or bridge from there to the peninsula which seems to be floating on water. But relax, you will be transferred in a private boat operated by the lodge exclusively for its guests to the accommodation area. Try if you can not to get too overwhelmed because you will find many more reasons to feel lucky for having chosen one of the best locations on earth for vacationing.
Fish Tail Lodge was established in the late sixties aiming to provide ample living space and just the right kind of isolation to travellers who crave for real experiences rather than the luxuries money can buy. The beautifully designed round cottages contain 48 standard and 12 deluxe rooms, a central dining hall, and a spacious bar with an indoor fireplace. Choose from a host of activities like hiking, pony riding, fishing, bird watching, boating, cultural shows, etc. and if you ever need to go out, just ask for the shuttle service.

Meet Rajendra Prasad Sapkota and Outdoor Himalayan Treks, we are your local connection in Pokhara. Starting as a young porter, Rajendra has all the local knowledge that will make your trip to Pokhara life changing. With us, visitors experience remote villages, meet local people, and gain insight into our culture. We support local villages, and have even built a local orphanage to house and educate displaced, and often outcast, children. We hope to bring you a journey that will be enriching, but will also help those in need in Pokhara.
