Pisang Peak Climbing

  • Book Now

The journey to Pisang Peak begins with a drive from Pokhara to Beshi Shahar, lying at an altitude of 823m, where you spend the night. However, the actual trek begins the next day 5 days later you will Upper Pisang. From there you will be able to see Mt. Pisang elevating uniformly from meadows above the village to the snowy apex. The next day you will get an even closer look of the mountain as you will be at its Base Camp where you will be camping for the night and plus the whole next day for acclimatisation.

The journey from the Base Camp upwards should be made in a careful and planned manner. Though this is considered to be an easy climb, precautions need to be taken as you go higher. It takes only a day to reach the High Camp from the base, but you will spend yet another day there to acclimatise as well as to prepare for the final climb.

To avoid glaciers and other hazards you will be guided along the established trail. Taking the safest way up from the northern face of the mountain, you will ultimately reach the peak lying at an awe inspiring height of 6091m, which was first conquered by J Wellenkamp of Germany in 1955.

After a short recess, you will descend back to the Base Camp. The next day you will head to Jomsom, a memorable trek via Thorong Phedi, Thorong Pass and Muktinath. The final, shortest and of course the easiest leg is the domestic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. And you will definitely deserve a good rest along with the comfort of your hotel room.
