Place of event: Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave
Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave lies opposite to Devi's Fall and has an ancient temple of Lord Mahadev or Shiva inside. Pilgrims gather there on Mondays of the month of Shrawan every year to pay a special tribute to the deity.
You will have a good chance of observing how they carry out their religious activities and also photograph the proceedings as well as several other attractions in the vicinity. Pedlar's are often seen selling their items to the crowd.
This year, the worships fall on 19 and 26 of July and on 2, 9 and 16 of August. If you happen to be in Pokhara during this time, consider paying a visit to the shrine on the given dates.

Meet Rajendra Prasad Sapkota and Outdoor Himalayan Treks, we are your local connection in Pokhara. Starting as a young porter, Rajendra has all the local knowledge that will make your trip to Pokhara life changing. With us, visitors experience remote villages, meet local people, and gain insight into our culture. We support local villages, and have even built a local orphanage to house and educate displaced, and often outcast, children. We hope to bring you a journey that will be enriching, but will also help those in need in Pokhara.
