People worship for prosperity on this day, again making sacrifices of animals to the tools they primarily use for earning their livelihood. Vehicles, knives, axes, khukuris, and other instruments are rested till the next day, following the rituals and sacrifices made for them. Maha Nawami marks the end of sacrifices; together with Maha Ashtami, the largest numbers of sacrifices are performed on these two days.
