Place: Lamjung, Kaski and Tanahu Districts
Bandipur Tihar is yet another event (4 nights/5 days programme) organised by Annapurna Village Tourism Development Committee (AVTDC) in order to promote Lamjung, Kaski and Tanahu Districts as tourism destinations.
This year, it is scheduled to start on Novemeber 4 and again on November 28.

Haritalika is a Hindu festival, celebrated exclusively by Nepalese women (of Brahmin and Chhetri ethnicities). Most people call it by its popular name, Teej. Women essentially dressed in bright red are seen flocking in the streets, on their way to nearby temples of Lord Shiva.

Place: Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple and all over Pokhara
Shivaratri in Sanskrit stands for 'the Night of Lord Shiva' and one of the most sacred occasions for Lord Shiva's devotees. Hindu mythology describes Shiva as the god of all gods.
This festival is celebrated by Hindus all over Nepal and abroad at all the temples of Shiva.

Place: Lakeside
Ropain Festival, also known as Asar 15, is celebrated mostly by farmers of the Terai and Inner-Terai regions of Nepal to mark the day they plant new seedlings of rice crop of the year in their paddies. In Pokhara they also invite tourists to join the celebrations of the day. Ropain in Nepali means rice plantation.

Place: Pokhara and other cities
The 5th International Folk Festival - 2010 is being held in 4 different cities of Nepal, including Pokhara with the motto 'Auspicious welcome to tourist artists, the foundation of Nepalese folk culture and traditions.'
The event is scheduled to start from Kathmandu on March 5, and will be observed from 11:00 onwards on March 11, 2010 in Pokhara. Likewise, Surkhet and Palpa are the two other host cities of this mega event.

Place: Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave
This is a series of special worships of Lord Mahadev (lord of lords, according to the Hindu mythology), observed on Mondays of the month of Shrawan (the fourth month of the Nepalese calendar or Bikram Sambat) at Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave in Pokhara.

Just a fortnight after conclusion of Bada Dashain, the festivities of Deepawali (or Tihar) fill the air once again throughout Nepal.
