What makes Hotel Tulsi Pokhara a favourite destination for travellers and trekkers is the variety of reasonably priced packages ready to be chosen from. It has 35 deluxe rooms and suites under 3 different tariff plans. The in-house restaurant serves Nepali, Indian, Continental and other cuisines. However, if you wish to dine outside, the European plan [AP] is available too.

The hosts of Hotel Tulsi come from the Newari community, best known for their politeness and hospitality. Laxmi Narayan Shrestha is the Executive Chairman and his younger brother Tulsi Prasad Shrestha is the Managing Director.

The Shrestha brothers acquired what once used to be known as Island Cottage and demolished it to construct Hotel Tulsi. The first among their guests arrived on the 1st of January 1998. Since then, they have managed to build a sound relationship with their clients and the local people.

Laxmi Narayan is a well-known figure in the tourism business and has contributed greatly to his city.  Currently, he is one of the key members of the 'Social Police' a non-profit organisation founded to watch out for thugs and mobs so that the Lakeside area of Pokhara remains safe for all - business owners, employees and tourists. He is also a member of the Nepal Tourism Board.
